Max Hammer is a professional skier, mountain guide, and former member of the United States Ski Team. He was raised by the ski slopes of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and honed his skills on mountains around around the world before finding a home in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The library of information found at this website is born out of a personal desire to understand the art of skiing. The coaching services provided by Max are the result of over 10 years of experience during stints with the Jackson Hole Ski Club, Squaw Valley Ski Team, and US Development Team.
Off the hill, Max shares a home with his two boys, Otto and Holden, his wife, Amy and his brother-in-law, Bob. In addition to skiing, Max is also a filmmaker with Houseplant Creative.
